Dove for Dove Haters
Our friend Ken Herbort introduced to Allegro marinade available locally. It tastes awful but makes food wonderful.
Take whole dove breasts that have been cleaned and washed and place in a gallon plastic bag. Cover with Allegro marinade and leave in fridge for 24 hours. Cut applewood smoked bacon in half, wrap a piece around a dove breast to cover, and secure with a toothpick. Cook on slow grill (we use a Traeger) for 45 minutes until done. Just try to stop eating them. I don't like dove and I LOVE these. I'll never cook dove any other way.
